ValueInvestIndia ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and research platform at valueinvestindia.com (the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and, if you choose social login, your name and profile picture as provided by the OAuth provider (Google).

Payment information: When you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by PayU. We do not store your card details. We receive only a transaction reference, amount, and status from PayU.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Platform — pages viewed, stocks researched, time spent, and features used — to improve our service.

Device and log data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and access timestamps for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and operate the Platform; process payments and manage your subscription; send service-related communications (account updates, payment receipts); improve our research content and user experience; detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS in Singapore). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Despite our security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

4. Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication and to maintain your login state. We may use analytics cookies (such as those provided by Vercel Analytics) to understand usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to log in or use certain features.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (authentication and database); Vercel (hosting and analytics); PayU (payment processing); Google OAuth (optional social login); Tijori Finance API (financial data provider — no user data shared). Each provider has their own privacy policy governing their data practices.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at privacy@valueinvestindia.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that deletion of your account will remove your access to all unlocked content and subscriptions without refund.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
